Wildflower Honey Wheat Beer Review | Breckenridge Brewery

I recently got back from a trip to visit family in Colorado, and while I was there, we stopped by Breckenridge Brewery. I went on their brewery tour and ate at the Farm House a few years ago, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re visiting Denver! Littleton is a short drive and definitely worth it.

In case you’ve ever wondered whether you can take beer on a plane—you can. I put it in my checked bag so I could bring some back home, and it didn’t explode! Expect more Breckenridge beer reviews over the next few weeks, but today we’ve got the Wildflower Honey Wheat Ale.

Brewery Wildflower Honey Wheat Ale in The Bulldog New Orleans pint glass

The Breckenridge Brewery Wildflower Honey Wheat Ale is 6% ABV and brewed with real Colorado honey.

This beer had a relatively neutral taste. It reminded me of a light-tasting IPA with very mild floral notes. I’m not usually a fan of anything botanical-flavored, but I guess the honey keeps the wildflower from taking over. It has sort of a bite to it when it first hits your tongue, similar to a sour but without the sour taste. Overall, I’m giving it a 5/10. It’s easy to drink, and I’ll finish the other three in the wheat variety pack I brought home, but they definitely have some better options!
